Paste it in
- Open the class, then Learners, then Paste from Excel.
- In Excel or your E-Class Record, select the learner rows and copy. A header line is recognised and skipped, so it does not matter if you include it.
- Paste into Paste the class list here and press Check the names.
- Work down the correction grid. Every cell is editable and every row has a tick box.
- Press Add 38 learners — the button counts the rows still ticked and free of blocking problems.
No sheet yet? The paste box has links to an Excel and a CSV template.
What it reads
Column order does not matter. Columns can be separated by tabs, semicolons, commas, or just runs of two or more spaces. Header words are recognised in English and in Filipino — Pangalan, Apelyido, Kasarian, Kaarawan, Magulang.
- A 12-digit number is read as an LRN, anything with an @ as an email, and M, F, Male, Female, Lalaki or Babae as gender.
- One NAME column works, and so do LAST / FIRST / MIDDLE apart.
- Numbering is stripped:
1. Alvarez, Kylecomes through as a name. DELA CRUZ, PRINCESS NICOLE M.becomes last name Dela Cruz, first name Princess Nicole, middle initial M. Compound surnames — Dela, De los, San, Sta. — stay whole, and Jr., Sr., II to V become the suffix.
One catch worth knowing: on a line with no other columns, a trailing lone M is read as a middle initial, not as gender. It only becomes gender when an LRN or email was found on the same line. Spell out Male if you want it read as gender.
What gets flagged
Red notes block the row. There is only one: Needs both a first name and a last name. Amber notes never block — Check how this name was split, an LRN that is not 12 digits, Looks like row 7 — the same learner twice?, and Already on the roster — skipped.
Somewhere else to start
In the class setup wizard (My classes → New class, step 3) you can also Upload CSV / XLSX, or choose Add one by one later. The Learners page takes a paste only.
