A descriptive class prints the Learner's Progress Report, not the SF9. Class settings offers it in the same shapes the SF9 comes in: LPR · Simple sheet (A4 portrait), LPR · One sheet (the whole form on one long sheet, landscape) and LPR · Front and back (long bond, printed on both sides). A Kindergarten class set to checklist style prints the competency checklist itself — on the flowing simple sheet, the portrait front-and-back, or the Form 138 landscape pair, which sets its sixty competencies in columns with the badge rating scale. A Grade 1 checklist class stays on the simple sheet: its five PACE forms outgrow the others.
What is on it
- The school header, the learner's name, LRN, grade and section, and the reference code.
- One row per learning area with the descriptor for each term — Advancing, Consistent and so on, written out in words.
- A narrative section. Grades 1 to 3 print one paragraph per learning area for the term the card covers; an area with nothing written prints No narrative has been written for this term yet. Kindergarten prints its Narrative Report per grading period — one box per term, with a parent's or guardian's signature space under each.
- Attendance by term, and the signature lines for you and the school head.
- A line noting that descriptors are the basis of the report, and that any numeric range is an equivalent for transfer purposes only.
What is not on it
No scores, no final grade column, no general average and no promotion status. That is the design of DO 015, s. 2026 for Key Stage 1, not a missing feature — there is no retention on academic grounds at this key stage. The Awards page says the same thing: no academic awards and no rankings here. Recognise effort, participation and growth in the narrative instead.
Releasing it
The same path as any other card: Release cards → Run pre-flight check → release. The pre-flight warns about learners with no descriptor — and, in a checklist-style class, about learners with no competency ratings — but the release stays your call. Learners with an email get a one-time link; the rest go into the print batch.
Closing the year
There is no year-end recalculation to run. Once the last term's descriptors and narratives are in and the cards are out, roll the class over and archive it from Class settings.
