Before you release
Class → Release, then pick the grading period. The Before you release panel runs fresh every time the page loads and lists what would make a card wrong. Blockers stop the release: an empty roster, no subjects, grades still recomputing, and — outside Kindergarten to Grade 3 — any learner still missing conduct ratings or a term comment. Warnings cover unfinished encoding and the 20% absence rule, and can be passed once you tick "I have read the warnings and want to release anyway."
Beside it, What these cards will say states what is actually going out: how many grades are computed, the class average, the spread across the descriptors, every learner under 75 by name, the conversion table in force, the attendance days, and the layout. A release is irreversible in the way that matters — a learner has seen the grade — so all of it sits above the button.
Releasing
- Press Release Term 1.
- A summary opens: the number of cards, how many go by email, how many go to the print batch, the SF9 layout and its sheet, the conversion table, attendance, how many learners are fully marked on observed values, and the revision number.
- Confirm with Release Term 1.
Each active learner gets one card with its own reference, like SL-7RK2-M9XQ. Cards render in the background and each email goes out as its card finishes. A learner with an address on the roster — their own or the guardian's — gets a link. Everyone else goes to the print batch; print is a channel here, not a fallback.
The delivery checklist
The page then becomes two lists that refresh on their own: To print and Emailed, with a tile each for emailed, bounced, to print and still rendering. Tick a card as handed over, resend a bounced one, move a learner between print and email, or open any card's PDF.
If it will not release
- "The pre-flight check still has blockers." Clear them; the panel links to each fix.
- "There are warnings to acknowledge before releasing." Tick the box under the warnings.
- "Term 1 is already released." Take the release back first; the next one is a new revision.
- "Releasing waits for verification." Emailing cards is the one action behind verification. You can still preview and print a preview meanwhile.
