Why there is a wall at all
Report cards go to children's inboxes. Verification stands in front of that one action and almost nothing else. An unverified account can build a class, import a roster, encode scores, compute grades and print cards — the cards simply carry PREVIEW — NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION until you are verified.
The two lanes
Instant. An address inside deped.gov.ph verifies the moment you prove the mailbox. So does an address on an .edu.ph domain that still resolves and still accepts mail. The match is on the domain's labels, not on how the text happens to end, so a lookalike like notdeped.gov.ph earns nothing.
A person reads it. Everything else — Gmail, Yahoo, a private school's own .com — goes to a queue. So does an .edu.ph domain that no longer resolves, has no mail server, or did not answer in time, and any address at a throwaway mail service.
While you wait
Open Verification to see where your request stands. We work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and we cannot promise how long it takes — a small team runs this for free. If we need one more thing, we email you asking for a school ID, an appointment paper or a service record, and you can reply with a photo. When it is approved, emailing cards switches on and your limits go up. Everything you built meanwhile stays exactly as it is.
The limits before and after
| Unverified | Verified | |
|---|---|---|
| Classes you advise | 1 | 3 |
| Subject gradebooks | 2 | 12 |
| Learners in one class | 15 | 70 |
| Emailing report cards | no | yes |
| Linking student accounts | no | yes |
Hit one and the message names the way out: "This roster is at its limit of 15 learners. Verifying your account raises this to 70 — add a school email in Settings, or wait for review."
The fastest way through
If you also hold a school address, do not wait in the queue. Settings → Add a school email. A trusted domain verifies the whole account immediately and closes the open request for you.
