How licenses work
Every teacher holds one license, at the school they named when they signed up. It is the school their report cards print.
- Free licenses. The first confirmed teachers at each school use SchoolAide Lite free. Settings shows how many licenses a school has; staff set the number, and it is 15 unless they change it.
- Covered by PEAC. At a private school in PEAC's ESC program, PEAC covers every teacher after the free ones. Pick PEAC ESC-participating school when you sign up and enter your school's ESC ID and DepEd School ID. Your registrar or ESC coordinator has both; the DepEd School ID is on School Form 1 (SF1).
- Your own license. Anywhere else, from the next teacher on, a teacher pays for their own license. It runs to the end of the school year.
Only confirmed teachers count. A teacher still waiting for review does not take a license, and one whose account is archived after a year away gives theirs back.
Without a license
Nothing is taken away. Once you are verified you keep a full gradebook: one class of up to 15 learners, two subject gradebooks, and real report cards you print on the default layout. Everything you build stays yours, and a license adds more on top.

Paying for your license
Open Settings → Your license. It shows the price, how to pay, and your support reference. Send the payment with that reference, and message us on Facebook. Your full allowance comes on as soon as we record it. We only ask for payment once you are confirmed at your school, so nobody pays for a license they might not get.
When the school year ends
A paid license, or one PEAC covers, runs out on the last day of May. For the new school year we look again: if a free license has opened, the teacher who has paid longest takes it. Otherwise you renew, or PEAC covers you again if your school is still in its ESC program.
If you had an account before licenses
You keep everything you had, and you are never moved down to the starter limits. Settings asks you to name your school; once you do, you take a free license if one is left.
Checking with PEAC
If PEAC does not answer when you check, carry on: we check again on our own and tell you the result. Three checks that do not match pause the check for an hour, so school IDs cannot be guessed. We share your name and school with PEAC so they can cover your license. Your learners' data is never shared.
