The transmutation table turns an initial grade into a term grade. It is a lookup, not a formula: a list of ranges, each mapping to one whole number. Open it at My classes → the class → Grading rules.
The presets
- DepEd adjusted table, SY 2026–2027 — DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2026, Annex D, Table 4. 70.00 becomes 75; 99.50–100.00 becomes 100; the floor is 60.
- DepEd transmutation table, DO 8, s. 2015 — Appendix B of that order, for quarterly classes.
- No transmutation (zero-based) — DO 015 from SY 2027–2028: the initial grade, rounded, is the term grade.
To move to one, press Preview and apply on its card.
Encoding your school's table
- Under Encode your school's table, give it a Table name.
- Type the bands — lowest initial, highest initial, transmuted grade — one row at a time with Add a band. Or paste three columns from Excel into Or paste from Excel and press Check the pasted table.
- Watch the VALIDATION box. It names an uncovered range exactly ("Nothing covers 69.50–69.99"), the two rows that overlap, any band where a higher initial grade would transmute lower, and any output outside 0–100. A lowest band other than 60 is a warning, not a blocker, and so is a table that changes nothing.
- Use the TEST BOX: type an initial grade, read the transmuted result beside it.
- Press See what would change.
The impact preview
Impact preview lists every learner, learning area and term whose grade would move, before and after, out of the total computed. Apply this table commits it and starts the recompute; Not now leaves everything as it was.
A custom table is noted on every report card, so anyone reading the card knows the conversion was not the DepEd preset. Applying a table is audit-logged.
